In the Beginning: Light

The Song of Beginnings and a Word became Light.

In the hush before time, when silence wrapped the deep,
there was only mystery—darkness brooding over waters without name.
Then a voice stirred the silence, a whisper that became a word,
and the word became light.

Light spilled across the void, dividing night from day,
and the dance of hours began.
Heaven stretched like a canopy, a dome of wonder,
holding back the waters above from the waters below.
Beneath it, the earth rose from the deep,
green with grass, bursting with fruit,
as though the soil itself remembered a song of life.

The heavens blossomed with lamps—
sun for the day, moon for the night,
stars scattered like sparks from the hand of eternity.
The seas foamed with creatures of dream,
the sky filled with wings,
and the land teemed with beasts,
each bearing its own secret shape.
